Online Funeral Donations Made Easy

Bereaved families wishing to have donations made to a charity in lieu of flowers can now offer mourners the option to make their donation online using their credit or debit card. As well as being a more convenient way of making donations it also has the added advantage that the family receives the list of donors’ email addresses and the amounts donated  so that they can thank them for their donation.

The donors also benefit as, by using the online system, they will receive a tax deduction certificate for the full amount of the donation from registered charities.

This service uses the One Great Gift payment system and is provided at no cost to the client or the donors. All that is required by the family is to include a link in the death notice in the paper to the listing on the Funeral Director’s website and to include the link and an easily scanned QR code in the memorial sheet.

An example is shown below.
