MALONEY, LESLIE JOHN (LES) QSM (Retired New Zealand Police) – Died peacefully at Nazareth House on 13^th January 2023, aged 85 years.  Loved son of the late William and Myra Maloney.  A much loved husband of Patricia (Pat) (nee Greaney) for 60 years.  Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Colleen and Craig Beswick, Julie Maloney and Steve, Peter and Bridget, and Kerry Maloney and Gregg.  Loved Pop of Patrick Wickes and Emily-Rose, Cooper and Daniel Maloney, loved friend and Pop of the Beswick Clan.  Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Warwick and Mardi Maloney (both dec), Ann and Roy Hynes.  A much loved Uncle and Great Uncle.  Loved brother-in-law of Catherine and Eric Beeby, Marilyn and Eric Thompson, Michael and Sharon Greaney, James (dec) and Marie Greaney, Annette and Kevin Smith, Terrence (dec) and Jan Greaney, Chris Greaney, and John and Kristine Greaney.

A Requiem Mass for Les will be Celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 70 Spencer Street, Christchurch on Wednesday 18^th January at 11.00.a.m.

Rosary will be recited in the Church on Tuesday 17^th at 7.00.p.m.
