WHELAN, Barry Peter – Peacefully at home on Monday, May 17, 2021. Treasured husband of Mary (van der Weert), much loved father and father in law of Julia and Jason, Nick and Naomi, Sam and Megan, Chris and Sarah, Jess and Aaron, and Steve and Helen, cherished grandad of Daniel, Nate, Liam, Andra, Mia, Leo, Emmy, Hudson, and baby Fern, loved brother of Phil Whelan. A special thanks to St Georges Cancer Care, The Orthopaedic Team at Christchurch Hospital and Silverstream Medical Centre for all their care and support shown to Barry and family.
