WRIGHT, GRAEME JOHN

Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Treasured father and father-in-law of John Wright and Karen Whitehead (Wellington), Jane and Daren Griffiths (Rotorua), Linda and Dave Prattley (Christchurch). Adored Grandpa of Cameron, and Frances; Grace, Kate, and Reuben; Ollie, and Lucy. Much loved brother of Jen and the late Peter.

Graeme was a valued colleague at the University of Canterbury (Chemistry Department), later a counsellor at The Arahura Centre and teacher at Vision College Christchurch. He was also a lay preacher, youth pastor, and a mentor and friend to so many people over his long and full life.

Thank you to all Graeme’s friends and colleagues for your support, and to the staff of Ward 23 at Christchurch Hospital for your compassion and care.

A celebration of Graeme’s life will be held at the St Albans Baptist Church, 64 McFaddens Road, on Tuesday 11th January 2022, at 1.30pm, thereafter private cremation. The service will be a “My Vaccine Pass” only. Please allow plenty of time and have your pass ready.
