THOMPSON, Russell Noel (27/03/1987 – 18/06/2022)

After a difficult battle well-fought, our beloved Russell, has left us.

Russell was a much-loved son of Sally and Tom; soulmate of his partner Acacia; loved younger brother of Victor and cherished twin brother of Madeleine; loved in-law of Barbara and Tony.

Loved nephew of Beth and Alistair, Annette and Tony, Fran, Keith and Robin, Bruce and Barb, Janet and Alan; and loved by all his NZ and Australian cousins.

While we are absolutely heartbroken to lose our Russell, we are so proud of his generous gift that gives life to others.

We would like to thank all the staff of Timaru, Christchurch Public and Burwood Hospitals who were involved in Russell’s care over the last 9 months.

A Celebration of Russell’s life will be held in the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, Corner of Linwood Avenue and Keighleys Road, Bromley, Christchurch, on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 1:30pm.
