Passed away at home with his family around him. A long fought battle over.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Ngaire. Loved father and friend to Katrina Hunter & Cameron Mouat, Melanie & Carl Fordyce, Anthony Hunter & Amanda Watts, Christopher Hunter & Marc Hobson. A wonderful friend to Ngaire’s children: Amy York & Dylan Brown, Joanne & Jonathon Wong and Michael & Bridget York. An extremely proud Grandad/John to all of his 18 grandchildren. Grandad to Olivia, Ashley, Madeleine & Thomas Mouat, Daniel, Bradley & Lucy Fordyce, Lucas & Lillian Hunter Hobson. John to Jacob, Susannah & Felix York, Caleb & Scarlett Wong and Emily, Deliah, Joshua & Max Brown.

Loved son of Harry (dec) & Colleen Hunter and son-in-law to Peter & Beth Daniell. Loved brother to Margaret, Frances, Clare & David and good friend to their partners and Ngaire’s family. A caring uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Best friend of Steven Dwan for 60 years & his wife Helen.
